1958 Franklin Half Dollar

1958 Franklin Half Dollar

The 1958 Franklin Half was produced at both the Philadelphia and Denver Mint for circulation. Proof coins were minted at the Philadelphia Mint for inclusion in the annual proof set for collectors.

High grade and Full Bell Lines coins are again relatively common for 1958 Franklin Half Dollars. From 1956 to 1958, higher grades and fully struck coins are readily encountered, as compared to other years of the series when these types of coins can be downright scarce. Toned or colorful coins are also encountered for this year. Premiums are often paid for attractively toned coins.
