1957 Franklin Half Dollar

1957 Franklin Half Dollar

The 1957 Franklin Half Dollar saw production resume at the Denver Mint. For the remainder of the series, circulation strike coins would be produced at both the Philadelphia and Denver Mint, and proof coins would be produced at the Philadelphia Mint. This year proof coin production saw a boost with more than one million proof coins minted.

The 1957 and 1957-D Franklin Half are relatively easier to encounter in higher grades or with Full Bell Lines, as compared to other years of the series. Premiums exist for colorful or attractively toned coins, which are sometimes seen for this year.
